PAIRE Football Club’s two teams are still comfortably leading the Dove Women’s League Spring 2021 Masters Division after routing their respective opponents Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
Paire FC 1 collected its 4th win of the season by silencing Kanoa Football Club 4-0.
The Kanoa players matched up to PFC 1 for most of the first half as they had their fair share of offensive and defensive takes to keep the game scoreless.
But as the game continued, Kanoa’s defense was no longer enough to prevent PFC 1 from scoring with Lindsay Davis delivering the finishing touch to give PFC 1 a 1-0 advantage.
In the second half, PFC 1’s onslaught resulted in three more goals while KNFC remained scoreless.
PFC 1’s scoring spree started at the 33rd minute mark, courtesy of Natalie Hill-Beyer, followed by Davis’ second goal two minutes later and Hill-Beyer delivering her second goal at the 38th minute mark to secure an PFC 1 win, 4-0.
PFC 2 vs TanHoldings
Paire FC 2, for its part, overpowered the TanHoldings Football Club, 3-0.
PFC 2 squeezed in two goals in the first half thanks to Lindsay Altizer and Shawna Brennfleck for a 2-0 lead.
The TanHoldings players stepped up their performance in the second half keeping PFC 2 away from striking distance but with all the focus on defense, they remained unable to score.
At the 45th minute mark, PFC 2 managed to build momentum once again, opening a shot opportunity for Robyn Spaeth who sealed the deal, 3-0.
