THE battle for the top three spots in the Fanihi Thursday “B” Division of the SEDA Bud Light Dart League is heating up.
On Thursday, Tambayan NoSkillJustLuck remained the number one team in the standings after slipping past 6JMS Hella Darty, 8-7.
NoSKillJustLuck started off the night on fire as David Buekis, JP Celis and Ton Basa ruled the 301 Double In/Double Out games for a 3-1 lead. They split the Partners Crazy Cricket game but Hella Darty eventually found their rhythm as a team, pulling a two-win sweep in the Partners 501 game to even the score, 4-4.
Both teams continued the seesaw battle, splitting the next two games to remain at a deadlock.
It all came down to the final Team 1101 game with NoSkillJustLuck’s Buekis, Celis, Basa and Ze Lizama besting Hella Darty’s Jared Ayuyu, Stan Ngalen, Mike Iguel and Ping Kapileo to clinch victory, 8-7.
In other matches
Just Chillin’s Double Chin Double Out remains in third place after edging the 6JMS Bandits, 8-7.
Although the Bandits established control early with a 3-1 run in the opening game, Double Chin Double Out managed to overtake them.
It started in the Partners Crazy Cricket game with Darion “Ice Box” Jones and Sam Litulumar, along with Dexx Rabauliman and Jun Orencia, recording a 2-win sweep to tie the game.
After splitting the following partners game, Double Chin Double Out pulled another clean sweep in the Singles Regular Cricket game led by Ben “Flow” Flores’ 3.41 ppd performance to take the driver’s seat, 8-4, and clinch victory.
The Bandits continued to fight back, earning the final three wins of the match to ease the pain, 7-8.
Joining the winner’s circle were 6JMS Che’ Cherry who defeated second place Tambayan Distorted, 10-5.
