ROSE Rohringer topped the August tournament of the CNMI Women’s Golf Association on Saturday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Nature was not on the side of the players as they also had to contend with the strong winds and rain. Nonetheless, Rohringer played well, shooting an even 46 on the front and back nines for a total gross score of 92. With a 13 handicap, she bagged a net score of 79.
Flor Jones put up a good fight, but was one stroke behind and had to settle for second place. She shot a gross of 46 on the front nine and 45 on the back for a total of 91. Her 11 handicap gave her a net score of 80.
In third place was Yuko Togawa, who had a strong start with a gross of 42 on the front nine, but she struggled on the back nine, and ended with a gross of 45 for a total gross of 87. With a handicap of 6, her net score was 81.
