The race course will be any of the underground race locations that Run Saipan hosted in 2021.
Runners will receive a finisher medal for each day of the race but only runners who compete in all three will get the grand finisher medal.
Event t-shirts will be available for this race as well.
For the Run Guam and Run Saipan 5K collaboration, they will release a commemorative limited-edition t-shirts for purchase.
The event will have two race starts — one on Saipan and the other in Ypao, Guam.
This will be the countdown to the Run the Marianas 5K in 2024 which involves 5K events on Guam, Rota, Saipan, Tinian and the Northern Islands.
For its part, the Inaugural Zombie Run 5K will be held on a trail to bring out a “maximum hardcore scare experience.”
As for the Veterans Day 5K, there will be finisher medals and other incentives for veterans and current armed forces members who will participate.
Asked what event is the most anticipated, Run Saipan President Edward Dela Cruz Jr. said, “I would say all of them. I’ve been keeping track of all the Run Saipan members’ race time since 2021. This year we will be introducing our own club standings and every Run Saipan race will count towards it. Also, for every race we will have a separate results sheet for Run Saipan members competing against their age groups strictly, so it’ll be fair. It’s going to be a great year.”
In addition, Run Saipan will raise its regular 5K fees. Members will pay $5 while non-members will pay $10. Year 2023 membership applications will be available during the Run Saipan Holiday Half-Marathon & AK 5.5K Anniversary Fun Run on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.
