TANAPAG continues to prove their worth in the U13 boys division of the 2022 Marianas Village Pride Basketball League after thrashing Garapan, 52-27, Saturday at the TSL Sports Complex.
Tanapag had a huge number of skilled players. Dale Garcia led the pack as his height advantage brought in eight consecutive points in the opening half of the game.
With the help of John Lucerio, Louis Rectitud and Dane Tibayan who also delivered the buckets, Tanapag established a double-digit lead, 27-11.
In the second half, Garapan’s Lance Lazamana and Leon Galarse fought back, but their efforts weren’t enough.
Tanapag, for their part, put in the rest of the bench in the remaining minutes. Lucas Esdrelon cleaned the mess from underneath the rim while Derek Tenorio attacked the glass to further extend their lead en route to victory, 52-27.
In a make-up game, Oleai defeated Finasisu, 58-45. Jose led Oeai to victory with 27 points.
