The NMI’s Tania Tan pushes through the last leg of the 3000m event of the recently held 2023 Oceania Cup at the Oleai Sports Complex track and field oval. Tan not only placed second place in the 3000m event of the 2023 Oceania Cup, but she also set a new NMI record. “I actually didn’t even know I broke it until Robin [Sapong] told me the next day. I went into the race just wanting to do my best, and somehow, I also managed to break the NMI’s outdoor 3K record,” Tan said. “Hopefully I can continue to progress…and run faster,” she added. Tan’s new 3000m record is 10:53.08.
