Theresa Borja, Devin Yumul, Michael Camacho shine in MRA races

THERESA Borja, Devin Yumul and Michael Camacho  topped their respective races in the Marianas Racing Association 2021 Points Race Season at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.

As soon as the starting rope was released for the mini-ATVs, Borja made her way through the break to gain the upper hand.

Nevaeh Camacho and Jesus Santos trailed closely behind,  but were in a battle of their own for second place.

Borja nearly lost the lead during a turn but managed to keep her cool and the throttle flowing to gain enough distance and complete heat 1 in first place, garnering 25 points.

As the dust settled, Santos finished second to earn 22 points while Nevaeh Camacho settled for third and 20 points.

Heat 2 was no different as Borja continued to show complete control, steering her way to another easy first place victory for 25 more points.

Nevaeh Camacho, for her part, flipped the script as she slipped past Santos to finish second and collect 22 points. Santos was third which was worth 20 points.

With a total of 50 points, Borja won the two-heat race. Nevaeh Camacho and Santos both had 42 points, but Nevaeh Camacho secured overall second place for  finishing second in heat 2.

Santos was third, Melvin Reyes was fourth with 36 points while Kassidy Camacho was unable to finish the race.

Minis

In the Mini I class, Devin Yumul topped heats 1 and 2 to stand tall with 50 points.

Harley Susulin followed behind in second place in both heats with 44 points while Leighton Palacios clinched third place and Kimason Cabrera was fourth.

Palacios and Cabrera had a total of 38 points each, but Palacios finished ahead of Cabrera in heat 2.

Michael Camacho had his share of the spotlight by powering through both heats of the Mini II class to finish first with 50 points.

Ethan Yumul held a steady pace to secure overall second place with 44 points followed by Mariana Alvarez in third with 40 points; Maribel Igitol, fourth, 36 points; Aric Cruz, fifth, 32 points; Kale Macaranas, sixth, 30 points; and Frankie Sablan, seventh, 28 points.
