TOKAHAO came out victorious in a nail-biting Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League game against Hagu Lamun, 24-23, Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
It was a fairly even match with Hagu Lamun in control after one inning, 2-1.
However, in the bottom of the second, Tokahao erupted with eight runs to take the lead as Alvin Takai and Dave Attao notched two RBIs each.
But in the third inning, Hagu Lamun struck back. Richard Quitugua and Eric Tudela took the spotlight with a three-run and two-run homer while Mitch Aaron contributed a two-RBI double as their team regained the upper hand, 14-9.
Tokahao staged a vigorous comeback, scoring 13 runs made by the sixth inning, but Hagu Lamun responded with six runs to maintain the lead, 23-22.
After silencing Hagu Lamun in top of the seventh and final inning, Tokahao led by Manny Villagomez saved the day with a two-run homer to grab sweet victory 24-23.
