JONNY’S Twisted Tribe continues to hold onto the number one spot in the C Division of the SEDA Bud Light League after escaping with a win against 6JMS Seikid C 8-7 Wednesday last week at the 6JMS Sports Bar.
Twisted Tribe established dominance early in the match as John “Lischoll” Santos, Ezra Helgen and Steve “Venom” Santos notched victories in the opening 301 Double In/Double Out game to give their team a 3-1 advantage.
The lead grew to 5-1 thanks to John and Steve Santos, and Helgen and Jesse “2Chu” Kalen for sweeping the Partners Crazy Cricket matches.
But Seikid C was not going down without a fight. DJ Taitano and EJ Cabrera finally snapped Twisted Tribe’s streak by splitting the Partners 501 game with a 3-1 run of their own in the Singles Regular Cricket game to bring their team back into contention, 5-7.
Seikid C then tried to even the score with DJ Taitano and “Pistol” Pete Lizama taking the first game of the next partners match. However, Twisted Tribe managed to seal the deal by grabbing the remaining game.
Seikid C bagged the final Team 110 Double In/Double Out match but it wasn’t enough to overtake Twisted Tribe which won 8-7.
Other matches
True North Hit & Run barely survived their match against Oleai A “Dial” Hao.
It was an even match with several lead exchanges in the first three games. Hit & Run then took control of the Singles Regular Cricket as Dexter Rabauliman, Jacob Lisua and Alfred Saures bested their opponents in one-on-one action for a 3-1 run.
A “Dial” Hao tried to fight back, but with only two games left, they could not avoid an inevitable defeat as Hit & Run notched the win, 8-7.
Also joining the winner’s circle were Jonny’s Yes Daddies who edged 9Eleven Bull-It 8-7; Safehouse Deez Darts which defeated Jonny’s Put It In, 10-5; and Tambayan Distorted C which outscored True North Darty Bulls 10-5.
