THE True North Vipers remain the top team in the Flame Tree Thursday B Division of the SEDA Bud Light League after defeating Jonny’s Kingz 9-6 on Thursday at True North Bar. It was the Vipers’ 150th win.
Manny Degracia drew first blood for the Vipers as he won the first game in the opening 301 Double In/Double Out match.
The Kingz then retaliated with two consecutive wins courtesy of AJ Guerrero and Frankie Camacho, but their run was cut short with Tanner Maratita snatching the final game for the Vipers to split the match, 2-2.
The Kingz regained control of the lead following a two-win sweep in the Partners Crazy Cricket match and a 1-1 split in the next Partners 501 match.
However, when it came to one-on-one action, the Vipers had the upper hand. During the Singles Regular Cricket match, Vipers Degracia, Maratita and Julian Matsutaro stepped up with a 3-1 run for the second deadlock of the night, 6-6.
The Vipers then cleared the remaining matches with ease as Maratita, Degracia, Julian and Jarrett Matsutaro played in sync as a team, gathering the last three wins to secure victory, 9-6.
