VIZION Insurance trounced Legends Elite, 112-89, in a masters division game of the Legend Sports Association Invitational Basketball League on Sunday at the Koblerville gym.
Vizion quickly established dominance thanks to their unselfish ball movement. Fradel Sedillo led the opening quarter with eight points while team mates Dindo Pablo, Jerry Tolentino and Ariel Baul also contributed buckets for a double-digit spread, 30-19.
Legends Elite tried to hang on in the second quarter with Dante Tabora scoring eight points, but he got no help from his team mates and their team fell farther behind.
In the third canto, they started to find their confidence. Mike Umali initiated constant attacks at the rim while Sonny Ebuen fired back-to-back triples to reduce the deficit, 66-83.
But Vizion never lost touch offensively as Sedillo still led the pack with his reliable jump shot while team mate Jun Itaas ignited with 10 points, including two triples, en route to victory, 112-89.
Open division
In the open division, Pardinos Tuesday Club and NAPA Auto Parts won their respective games.
Pardinos faced Al-Ger Manpower, and it was a seesaw battle with Padrinos taking the first quarter led by Aparte.
Al-Ger took over the second and third cantos thanks to Tabora and Itaas for a 44-40 lead.
But in the final quarter, Padrinos went for the physical approach and ended up on the charity line. Aparte then took over the spotlight with eight points to secure the win for Padrinos, 69-62.
NAPA routed Marianas Health Services, 90-53.
NAPA earned a comfortable distance right from the start as Preston Basa could not miss from behind the three-point line, knocking down a total of eight triples to carry his team to victory.
