THE NMI’s Zhimin Jin is in a four-way-tie for fourth place in the 2022 Pacific Mini Games women’s golf at the end of day two, Wednesday, at Coral Ocean Resort.
The NMI’s Zhimin Jin takes a shot on day 2 of the 2022 Pacific Mini Games golf tournament at Coral Ocean Resort.
On day one, Tuesday, Zhimin Jin played well, shooting 43 on the front nine and 35 on the back for a gross total of 78.
On day two, she improved her swing with a gross of 37 on the front nine but slightly struggled on the back nine with a gross of 41, for another 78 gross total and a cumulative score of 156.
She shares fourth place with Guam’s Tyanna Jacot and Kayley Kang, and Samoa’s Faith Vui.
Currently in first place is Flavia Reid-Amaru of Tahiti with day one and day two gross scores of 78 and 75 (153), followed by Mohea Mansbendel of New Caldedonia, 77 and 77 (154), and Ines Lavelua-Tufele also of New Caledonia, 77 and 78 (155).
In the men’s division, Zhi Yun Li of the NMI is in seventh place.
Li shot well on day one with a gross of 36 on the front nine but lost touch on the back with a gross of 41 for a total score of 77. On day two, he shot 37 on the front nine and 36 on the back for a gross total of 73 and a cumulative score of 150.
Leading the pack is Guillaume Castagne of New Caledonia with day one and day two scores of 70 and 73 (143) followed by Ivan Sablan of Guam, 73 and 71 (144), and Lio Vui of Samoa, 70 and 74 (144).
