TERRY Guerrero won the June Ace of the Month title of the CNMI Women’s Golf Association on Saturday at Coral Ocean Golf Resort.

During the 18-hole tournament, Guerrero maintained a steady stroke even though she struggled on the back nine, dropping bogeys, but she still managed to make up for them with a few birdies and pars to end with a gross of 49.

Her swing improved on the front nine as she played it safe and with more accuracy to score a gross of 47 for a total gross of 96. With a handicap of 22, her net score was 74, one stroke ahead of Mio Kim.
Kim performed well on the back nine with a gross of 43 but had some difficulties on the front nine, scoring a gross of 47 for a total gross of 90. With a 15 handicap, her net score was 75, good enough for second place.
Finishing third was Flor Jones who scored a gross of 50 on the back nine and 46 on the front nine for a gross total of 96. Her handicap of 21 gave her a net score of 75.
In the score-card tiebreaker, however, Kim bested Jones.
The next tournament will be held on Saturday, July 10, at the Kingfisher Golf Links with a show time of 11:30 p.m. and tee time of 12:30 p.m.
