Max Church, son of Kraig Church, and Alani Miones, son of Allan Miones, both from Dandan Elementary school, are this year’s winners from the kindergarten division.
Ernesto Cho, 7, son of Edward Cho from Oleai Elementary School is the winner from the first grade. Isa Aldan, 7, daughter of Gary Aldan from Tinian Elementary School was adjudged winner for the second grade. Aliya Manalo, daughter of Mark Benavente from Dandan Elementary School is the winner for the third grade.
Ten-year-old Dayna Jeanne Cabrera, daughter of Rodney C. Cabrera from William S. Reyes Elementary School is the winner from the fourth grade level. Fifth grade winner is Roselyn Balagtas, 11, daughter of Romer Balagtas from Tinian Elementary School. 12-year-old John Ralph Alarzar, son of Florante Villaluz, is this year’s winner from William S. Reyes Elementary School.
The “2011 My Dad’s Picture” contest gives all Head Start, kindergarten and elementary students a chance to show their fathers love and appreciation, and win attractive gift packages for their dads.
The contest gave the students the chance to show off their skills, be recognized and get prizes.
The entries from different schools included artwork and drawings using various medium such as pencil, crayons, markers, water color and paints. The entries were judged based on originality, creativity, and presentation.
Sponsors for the event were Hollywood Theaters, Extreme Cuts, National Office Supply, Kinpachi Japanese Restaurant, Island Florals & Gifts, Western Sales Trading Company, Hyatt Regency Saipan and Taro Sue Store.{jcomments off}
