Triple J Saipan, Inc. marketing manager John Jay Santos turned over the Hyundai Accent 2012 to Hyatt Regency Saipan executive chef Gabriele Colombo and food and beverage director Michael Wilson in the hotel lobby in Garapan on Friday.
Santos said Triple J’s Five Star Wholesale Foods and Hertz donated the car as one of the hole-in-one prizes.
“Triple J Saipan had been a staunch supporter of the Hyatt Annual Golf Classic each year because this is for a good cause,” Santos said.
Proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that helps fulfill the wishes of children with life-threatening diseases, and other non-profit organizations.
Hyatt Regency Saipan general manager Nick Nishikawa said they are grateful for the strong and untiring support that sponsors have shown throughout the years.
Hyatt Regency Saipan marketing communications assistant manager Luis Villagomez said the Hyundai Accent 2012 from Triple J Saipan, Inc. is just one of the over $70,000 worth of attractive prizes for hole-in-one winners.
Other prizes include a one night accommodation in a Hyatt club room and Sunday brunch at Giovanni’s for two for the winning team; one night accommodation in a deluxe room and dinner at the Kili Café and Terrace for two for the first runner-up; and a 60-minute Swedish massage at the I Sagua Spa and lunch buffet at the Miyako for two for the second runner up.
Wilson said the event is open to amateur and professional golfers.
It will be a four-person scramble format, with a double Peoria handicap system that provides all players the chance to win the grand prize.
You can either join as an individual, join others to form a team of four or be assigned to a team. The format of the tournament will be a best-ball style which means the team gets to decide which of its four balls the team wishes to play.
In addition, a donation of $20 will give the teams a chance to buy “one kick” and “one throw” that they can use during the round.
“We are inviting everyone to come and join us and support us to help our beneficiaries,” Wilson said.
Wilson said Early Bird registration fee for Club Elan and Club at the Hyatt members is $95 for payments made earlier or today, Nov. 9.
Registration fees paid after today will be $110 for Club Elan and Club at the Hyatt members, and $120 for non-members.
Application forms are available at the Hyatt front desk and at the Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort.
Interested sponsors and players can contact Robin Eugenio of Club Elan at 323-5870, the Club at the Hyatt office 234-1234, or email cath@hyattsaipan.com.{jcomments off}
