NED Norita claimed the Amigos Golf Club November Ace of the Month title on Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Norita shot well on both ends of the course. Starting from the front nine, he closed the nine holes with a gross of 79. With a handicap of just 6, his net score was 73.
He then improved his swing on the back nine as he closed the remaining nine holes with a gross of 78 which, with a 6 handicap, gave him a net score of 72. Combining both net scores, his first-place total was 145.
Ed Terlaje stayed closely behind Norita and finished second. Although he closed the front nine with a gross of 85, his handicap of 17 provided him with a net score of 68. On the back nine he scored a gross of 95 and, thanks to his 17 handicap, a net of 78 for a total net score of 146.
Third placer Nick Leon Guerrero also notched a net score of 146, but in the score-card playoff on hole #17 he shot a double bogey while Terlaje bested him by shooting one over par.
In the par 3 challenge, Syl Ada won the award on hole #6; Joe Tudela on hole #8; Ed Manglona on hole #12; and Ed Terlaje on hole #15. Each player took home $120.
The December Ace of the Month tournament qualifier will be held on Nov. 7 while the Ace round will be played on Nov. 14. The winner will secure the final 12th spot for the Ace of Aces competition.
