KIER Agda still holds the top spot in the novice class of the 2021 Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series following a first place finish in round 4 at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.
But it was not a leisurely ride for Agda. Heat 1 saw Corry Pangelinan in the lead which he maintained to cross the finish line in first place, earning him 25 points
Henry Camacho Jr. claimed second place which was worth 22 points while Agda came in third and collected 20 points.
In Heat 2, however, it was Agda’s time to shine. His crisp, sharp turns along with proper landing off jumps kept him well ahead as he bagged first place and 25 points.
With a total of 45 points, Agda topped round 4 and is still first place overall in the novice class with a grand total of 181 points.
Henry Camacho Jr., who finished second in heat 2 to earn a total 44 points, is second overall with a grand total of 163 points.
Although Corry Pangelinan struggled in heat 2, finishing last which gave him 12 points, it was still enough to put him in third place in round 4 with a total of 37 points. He is also third overall with a grand total of 146 points.
Experts
Sharing the podium is Cuki Alvarez who topped the experts class. He was unmatched this time around as he cleared both heats in first place to earn a total of 50 points.
But another veteran rider, Angelito Hernaez, remains a threat, and is overall second after finishing third in heat 1 and second in heat 2 for a round 4 total of 42 points.
In third place was Shane Alvarez who finished second in heat 1 and third in heat 2 for a round 4 total of 42 points.
In the overall standings, Hernaez is first with a grand total of 170 points followed by Cuki Alvarez, 167 points while Franklin Santos and Alverick Alvarez share the third-fourth spots with 146 points each.
Veterans
In the veterans class, Dave Celis reigned supreme with a flawless round 4 victory, topping both heats to beat Cuki Alvarez who came in second with 44 points and Melvin Cepeda who was third with 40 points.
Celis also remains the overall leader with a grand total of 185 points followed by Cuki Alvarez with 176 and Melvin Cepeda with 166.
