The evening was opened by the emcees of the night, Frances M, Sablan and Mario S. Fajardo and the live band.
The opening remarks was then addressed by SGA President, Ben Aldan. “Congratulations to the 2010 winners and let us now welcome 2011. Merry Christmas and Congratulations [once again]” he joyfully announced to the Audience.
The Ace for every month from January through December was presented their trophies along with the infamous Ace of Aces Award was finally revealed last Saturday night. January Ace of the Month was awarded to Vince Deleon Guerrero Rosario followed by Edward Sablan (February), Mariano S. Fajardo (March), Larry Deleon Guerrero (April), Steve Jang (May), Jung Eun Teack (June), Jose I. Sablan (July), Martin Sablan (August), Steve Balakrishna (September), Ray M. San Nicholas (October), Frances M. Sablan (November), and John “Noni” Cruz (December).
The Ace of Aces Award was presented to January’s Ace of the Month, Vince Deleon Guerrero Rosario after topping all of his competitors through the two-day competition held last November 27, 2010 at the Coral Ocean Point and last December 5, 2010 at the King Fisher Golf Links.
The Ace of Aces was a close bout between the competitors but Vince Deleon Guerrero Rosario top contended the match with a total net of 132 with a 63 net during the first day of the competition and then a 69 on the second day.
Following Rosario was the female lone star golfer, Frances M. Sablan tallying a total of a 139 net score tying in with Rosario during the first day of competition and managing a 76 net during the second day of competition.
Following the top contenders came Jung Teack (140) followed by former Judge Edward Manibusan (142), Joe Sablan (145), Ray Salas (145), Nick Sablan (147), Ray Dela Cruz (147), Steve Jang (148), Ray San Nicholas (148), Bob Magofna (148), Joe Demapan (149), Steve Balakrishna (153), Ed Sablan (154), and Mario Fajardo (155).
Mario Fajardo landed the longest drive on Hole No.6 at Coral Ocean point followed by former Judge Edward Manibusan who also carded a longest drive on Hole No.18.
Steve Jang, Ray Dela Cruz, Frances Sablan, and Martin Sablan each pocketed a Greenie on Holes No. 3, 7, 12, and 14 respectively at the Coral Ocean Point Course as well.
On the second day of competition at the King Fisher Golf Links, Fajardo slammed another Longest Drive on Hole No. 1 followed by Steve Jang on Hole No. 18.
Jung Teack, Ray Dela Cruz, Jung Teack, and Edward Manibusan each carded a Greenie on Holes No. 6, 8, 12, and 15 respectively at the King Fisher Golf Links.
