Coming in with the fastest time of 23 minutes and 40.4 seconds was Frank Diesta. Joining him in the adult category’s top ten were Kenneth Pierson (25:09.5), Brian Bearden (26:10.5), Manny Sitchon (26:57.9), Teddy Yun (29:56.9), David Butterfield (30:26.6), Rolly Verzon (30:32.0), Ronald Odiyar (31:26.1), Juanita Fajardo (34:57.0), and Crystal Pierson (35:11.4).
The run also included youth (11-18 years old) and child (10-and-under) divisions, topped by Jong Woo Kim (26:24.8) and Allen Stafford (25:08.8), respectively. Like the adult group, both categories awarded t-shirts to its top ten finishers.
Next to Kim were Julius Barro with 26 minutes and 47 seconds, and Thomas Lee (31:14.1). Also in the group were Merryk Zietzke (32:45.3), Yunic Miraflor (32:59.3), Jether Española (34:02.3), Mary Grace Barro (34:22.6), Deffery Kios (36:05.2), Ellie Eichenberger (37:40.7), and Julie Nam (37:46.1).
Proceeds went to the school’s Hope Run Scholarship for school year 2011-12, according to SDA principal Michael Berglund.
Other finishers in the child category were Ramnes Karben (30:25.6), Samuel Dueñas (34:59.3), Rinto Takahashi (35:29.0), Brian Wabol (37:23.7), Grant Eichenberger (39:19.4), Cory Lee (39:30.0), Quincy Chinen (43:43.5), Billy Zhu (44:12.7), and Andy Zhu (44:12.7).
In addition to a morning run in clear weather, runners enjoyed winning raffle prizes.
