Carrie Schuler tallied three points for MP United, making her team’s first goal. Despite being shorthanded, MP United had the stronger offense in the first half. The IFC snuck a couple goals as Tree Ditwiset and Pin Sareebutr pushed with teammate Kiri Thoesen. MP United continued their onslaught as Melody Matson, Nikki Gabaldon, and Michelle Masga scored five more points.
IFC’s Lim Christenson and Wasana Gregory couldn’t catch up on the defense, while MP United’s Natalie Hill slipped her way for the net. Matson joined Hill for three goals before leaving the game to Carrie Schuler and Nola Hix. Thoesen made her team’s final point before the end of the match.
In the league’s ‘recreational’ division, Paire Football Club ‘B’ and Shirley’s Football Club shared victories over MP United Football Club ‘B-1’ and MPU ‘B-2,’ respectively.
Paire won their game 5-3, with Vanessa Mobel landing three of five goals. Passes from Mayling Colombo gave MP United’s Betty Johnson the chance to score while Mei Demapan followed up with an attack. Scoring two more goals, Leanne Loan and Angie Mister later turned the game to Paire’s favor.
MP United ‘B-2’ took the final hit after falling to SFC 8-0. Irish Pagarao was the highlight of the match, landing four points for SFC. Joining her were Gigi Zapanta and Marilou Gariguez, who added one goal apiece. Jen Savellano later came in for the kill, tallying two points.
