MHS alumni school records
(MHS) — Marianas High School is calling all previous students to come and pick up your school records which include your high school transcripts and other confidential files.
All graduates from 1965 to 2002 must pick up their student records before Jan. 7, 2011. All records not picked up will be disposed accordingly.
After Jan. 7, MHS will only keep records for seven years. Beyond that, MHS will only issue graduation certification for students.

10 Guam, NMI students to receive $19,550 scholarships
MAITE, Guam (First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business) –– First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business are pleased to announce that 10 students have been selected to be the 2010 First Hawaiian Bank Guam Business Businesswoman of the Year scholarship recipients.
The program provides student scholarships at three higher education institutions in the Mariana islands: the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College. The selection committee chose four students from UOG; three students from GCC; and three from NMC.
The scholarships will be presented to the successful Guam applicants on Friday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. in First Hawaiian Bank Maite Center’s meeting room on the 2nd floor. At the same time in Saipan, the scholarship awards will be presented to the NMC recipients at First Hawaiian Bank Gualo Rai Branch.
Funds for the scholarships were raised through the 2010 Businesswoman of the Year Gala, held at the Hyatt Regency Guam on April 24. The sold-out event was attended by hundreds of supporters of the program. The event raises funds for these scholarships and recognizes women who make a difference in business. The 2010 Businesswoman of the Year Maga’haga award recipient is Anna Wang Kao, founder and president of Genghis Khan Furniture Co.

Zoning Board officials on Marianas Agupa

Red flag at 12 Saipan sites
(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality says water samples collected from Nikko Hotel, Tanapag Meeting Hall, Central Repair Shop, DPW Channel Bridge, Dai-Ichi Drainage, Samoa Housing, Hafa-Adai Hotel, Hafa-Adai Drainage, Garapan Fishing Dock, Garapan Beach Drainage, CK Dist #4 Drainage and San Antonio Beach contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI’s marine water quality standards.
DEQ has given these locations a red flag and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of the locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.
