The Palaus nearly perfected their night with six wins and one loss, where Palau’s Ron Chisato came short against Turtle’s Nizer Masayos. The Palau’s gained their first three-win streak of the night from Taylor Watanabe, Arnel Orbita, and John Mongami in the 8-ball singles round. They finished their matches with two more victories in the doubles rounds.
The NTT Docomo Hustlers also celebrated the night after winning five out of seven matches against the Wild Bill’s Shark Attacks. Jerry Soriano, Erwin Gomez, Jomer Enriquez, and Senen Pangilinan won their respective 8-ball singles matches, followed by another win in the last doubles round from Rowel Mariano and Gomez. The Shark Attacks boasted their wins from Ben Norita, who outmatched Hustler’s Joey Lucido in the singles around, and Bernard Kileleman and Jerry, who dominated in the teams’ first doubles match.
Like the Fotten Palaus, the Jonny’s Home Boyz triumphed in six out of their seven games against the D’Pirates Team Pirates at Jonny’s Bar and Grill. After a tie-breaking win from Pirates’ Bert Rufugio in the singles round, the Home Boyz stole the night with successive wins in both the singles and doubles matches.
The Jonny’s IT&E Voyagers came through at D’Pirates Bar and Grill after conquering the D’Pirates Who-ahs in their home bar with five wins. Voyagers’ Rolly Villanueva, RJ Mascarinas, Boyet Sequioco, and Roman Rodriguez easily finished their opponents in their singles matches, with Mascarinas and Rodriguez teaming up to win in the night’s final doubles round.
The IT&E Incredibles and VFW ToroKeyRees also faced each other last Tuesday, but results were still pending according to SBA’s Acting League Secretary Warlee Ellama.
