Vinycia Seman, the executive secretary of Mayor Donald Flores, yesterday said an applicant must be a high school student from a recognized public/private school, must possess a valid U.S. passport that will not expire within 6 months prior to and throughout the duration of the travel, must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and a traveler’s insurance.
She said the students from Saipan will spend a week in Japan from Oct. 7 to14.
An applicant must pay $466.27 for the discounted airfare by 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 24.
The KSKK in Japan will cover the costs for transportation, accommodations, entrance fees for educational sight-seeing as well as a participant’s three meals a day.
