Ada gym on temporary shut down

Two teenagers were seen disappointedly reading the sign that heralded the temporary shut down of the sports complex. One teenager stated “I don’t understand why they had to shut down the oval. It doesn’t use electricity and most of us use this to get in shape since this is what the government has been harping about in the Public School System. ‘Live Healthy’ is what I keep hearing about”

The halt of sports activities and leagues is a small inconvenience compared to the hardships which the people who maintain the complex and work there to beautify it will indeed suffer when they don’t get their needed paychecks.

The Division of Sports and Recreation posted a notice of closure in the four gates located near the main parking lot of the Oleai Sports Complex.

The gates were locked, but still there were some people who managed to get inside the facility.

Yesterday afternoon a fairly large group of people were seen playing soccer on the track and field portion of the complex.

Some confessed to jumping over the gate and the rest confessed to entering the track through the north entrance.

The Division of Sports and Recreation will not be held liable for injuries/accidents that will happen while the facility is closed, especially with the notice on the gate entrances.

“I’m looking for a new venue for the Rotary games so that it may continue as scheduled” added Abner Venus, one of the Rotary youth basketball league coordinators.
