James Peterson ignited the winning momentum for the Bombers after bagging 10 swift points fiercely playing side by side with center man Fred Jones chipping in his four pence to lead the way in the first 4 minutes of the game.
John Joyner of team CNMI was able to slip past center man Jones thrice for two down town shots and a jump shot off the key to ignite fierce spirit within team CNMI. Teammate Juan Maratita tried to keep team CNMI from faltering by helping Hoyner out with his 6 points.
Unfortunately for them, by closing of the first quarter, team Bombers blew the scores off the charts leading by 10 strong points, 28-18.
Duranta Gordon, Michael Evans, James Peterson each bagged 4 points in the opening of the second quarter with teammates Bryan Sanders chipping in a down town shot and Fred Jones bagging a lay up and dunking the ball sending the crowd into a wild frenzy in the last 3 minutes of the second quarter.
By halftime team Bombers blew a gargantuan crevice between themselves and the National team by 14 points, 52-38.
Team Nationals fought fiercely in the second half of the game but repeatedly missed possession of the ball with the Andersen’s point guard stealing possession mid way down the court.
Team CNMI was only able to fend off a total of 9 points against the bombers. Unfortunately for them, Fred Jones slipped past their defense more than three times to grab another 6 points for the Bombers.
Needless to say, it was history for team Nationals. Team Andersen Bombers collared in another 32 points in the last ten minutes of the game to bury theCNMI team six feet under the ground, 102-56.
