“We will move forward with a triple round robin format between the three teams competing,” said MISO acting president Nick Gross.
Saipan Southern High School will be starting next week with a game against Kagman High School on Monday, Oct. 25. KHS will be playing again on Tuesday against Marianas High School, while MHS is set to face SSHS on Thursday.
On Nov. 1, KHS will be playing against SSHS.
“We are trying to start all games as close to 4 p.m. as possible due to the shortening of the days,” said Gross.
MISO’s varsity baseball tournament is still set for November 5 and 6, with Tinian participating in the event.
A similar outcome resulted in MISO’s girl’s basketball league due to the withdrawal of Saipan International School. A triple round robin format will also be applied in the league.
Like boys’ varsity baseball, the girl’s basketball league will still have Tinian taking part in its tournament.
Saipan Southern High School will be playing back-to-back games next week, playing against Kagman High School on Monday and against Marianas High School on Wednesday. SSHS is scheduled against KHS on Nov. 1 and MHS will play against SSHS on Nov. 3.
MHS and KHS will play another game on Nov. 8 before the start of the league’s tournament, scheduled for Nov. 19 and 20.
