According to police report at around 2: 35 a.m. on Sunday, Bangladeshi security guard of PTC Warehouse called the police and reported a car accident at the warehouse next to Shell gas station.
Report said the three victims were onboard the Honda Torneo Sedan colored white with no. 3697 driven by Ernest Ngirkelau traveling JP bridge road towards Airai direction in a high speed when the car lost its control and collided into an electric pole at the front of NECO LPG Company.
Due to strong impact the car was totally damaged.
The driver sustained injury on his lower right leg. While the two passengers, Gene Sikyang complained pain on her right leg and the other one also complained pain on his face and ear.
The victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the cases of driving under influence of liquor (DUI) and reckless driving are now being prepared against the driver.
The case is pending for further investigation.
In other news, a man was also arrested for DUI in Airai State.
Cunbo Wang, a Chinese national was arrested on Sept. 23 after police observed his vehicle swerving from side to side within its lane starting from Hawaiian Rock Quarry.
Police stopped Cunbo at the intersection to Babeldaob near the KB Shell in Airai. A first Field Sobriety Test was performed to the driver but he failed. Police then arrested him for DUI and brought to the police station for further DUI processing.
The case is under investigation.
