Final Four collides on FBL matches

After securing the final four spot from grueling, exciting, and exhilarating matches at the first round of the playoffs last Sunday, number  one in standings, Western Union, will be facing number five seed aggressive Jaguars. WU will be paced by their “Fab Five” that comprises of Bong Alambra, Jun Bautista, Clemenia, Tecson, and Patena while the underdogs, Jaguar team, will need a strong game from their center Phillip Manago, accurate shooting from Jerome Ratunil and Hener Aguinaldo, and a consistent game from MVP nominee Jun Lanzuela. 

On the other hand, defending champion Surangel and Sons and first runner up of last year’s FBL, Rangers Team, faces off to fill in the last team that will go to the finals. Leading the charge for Surangel will be Arnold Undencimo and speedy Deloy Pinggot while the Rangers team starts off with Jay Naguit, Arcie Bacani, Mike Guevarra, Noel Avenido, and Ronald Mamuyac.Winners of the matches will get to meet for the championship match while the losers battle for the third and fourth place.  The 2009 Filipino Basketball League is under close supervision and is operated by the Palau Basketball Federation.
