THIS Father’s Day, I take a moment to reflect on my father. His strength continues to inspire me and remains one of my greatest blessings.

Allow me to offer a glimpse into the quiet, great example my father has set for us all.

At 82 years old, he remains fit and active. While many people his age require assistance, my father lives independently. He walks confidently, moves with ease, and maintains the same purposeful rhythm he always has. His lifestyle is not just admirable; it is truly extraordinary.

Throughout my life, I have seen him consistently take care of his health. He never followed trends or sought attention. Instead, he honored his body through exercise and work out, healthy eating, and a steady routine. He set an example for us, and we learned from him, often without realizing the lasting importance of those lessons.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact of his choices became very clear to us. When the virus affected our family, we were worried. At his age, the risks were serious, and the news was frightening. To our surprise and relief, my father only had mild symptoms. He recovered quickly and calmly while many others struggled. His resilience came from years of healthy living. His body was ready because he had prepared for it.

This experience changed my perspective. I saw that his strength was not just impressive; it was life-saving. The biggest beneficiaries of his discipline were his children —us. We still have our father with us, fully present and alive, enjoying life without limits. That is a priceless gift.

This Father’s Day, I celebrate him not only as a man but as an example of aging with dignity and purpose. He demonstrates that true strength develops over time through daily choices based on self-respect and love.

He reminds us that taking care of our health is not just a personal responsibility; it is a daily act of love. When we prioritize our well-being, we are not only preserving our strength but also ensuring that we can be fully present for the people who depend on us, love us, and want to share life’s moments with us for as long as possible.

So, to my father, thank you for your discipline and for the example you set. Thank you for the extra years we have with you — filled with memories and activity. Your strength lies in your resilience, physical health, and the legacy you are building. We are grateful for your presence in our lives.

Happy Father’s Day to a man who shows that age does not stop a life well-lived.

To all the fathers throughout the world, may you be blessed with good health, endless joy, and the strength to keep inspiring those around you every day.
