“How do we, the people of the commonwealth, expect to see changes if Gov. Benigno R. Fitial will remain in office?”
He said if Fitial “truly cares and respects the indigenous people of the land we would not be in the predicament we are facing today.”
Cruz said the power rates have been tripled since Fitial was sworn into office.

James Guerero, a resident of Kagman, said he, his wife and friends will vote for Hofschneider.
Five other supporters of Deleon Guerrero told this reporter that Hofschneider should win the runoff.
Cruz said majority of Deleon Guerero’s supporters are Taotao Tano people who want an end to the Fitial administration.
Former Senator Deleon Guerrero received 1,075 votes or 8 percent of the tabulated ballots and finished last in the four-way race.
In a statement to voters, his running mate, former Education Commissioner David M. Borja, said “no words can express our appreciation, but from our hearts we acknowledge and hold you all very dearly. We wish the very best to you, your families, our communities, and our commonwealth the very best….”
He said their campaign’s goal is to pass on the message that ordinary citizens need help with the high cost of utilities, that the Commonwealth Health Center must have more doctors and the government’s Retirement Fund issue must be resolved.
