Kristo Rai parish to celebrate fiesta; Rota priest visits Saipan

community, visiting priest Father Delfin Tumaca of Rota said in his homily on Wednesday.

Tumaca is here to join the Saipan community in celebrating the month of priesthood and the fiesta of Kristo Rai Parish.

In his homily, he talked about the hardships he encountered during his days in the seminary and said the experience made him tough and pushed him closer to God.

He told the parishioners to maintain their relationship with God in order to have a clean conscience and to be able to do their jobs properly.

During the Mass, Tumaca also introduced his parents who came all the way from Philippines to join the celebration.

He and Father Celso Magbanua are inviting the community to join Kristo Rai’s celebration.

“This is your church so please participate in our activities,” Magbanua said.

The 6 p.m. mass on Sunday will be cancelled to give way for  dinner but there will be a 4 p.m. novena Mass on the same day.

“Everybody is invited to join the little banquet we will prepare,” Magbanua said.

Chalan Kanoa Bishop Thomas Camacho will be joining the celebration.
