Co-owner Nathan Benson of MarianasLiving.com, a realty and consulting firm, made the donation earlier this month and presented it to club president Miles Rodriguez and vice president Kwon Sohn.
“I’d like to thank Mr. Benson for his generous donation,” said Rodriguez. “The contribution will help us obtain ample supplies and materials necessary to carrying out our goals of promoting health awareness in the community.”
The NMC Nursing Club has been providing the communities on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota with free blood pressure, blood sugar, and diabetes screenings for the past several years.
The club welcomes any form of support from the community to increase and enhance its various volunteer activities.
“The college is extremely thankful for this donation,” said NMC President Carmen Fernandez. “I applaud Mr. Benson for recognizing our students’ service to the CNMI community.”
Some other community events at which the NMC Nursing Club frequently conduct free health screenings include the “Lead Screening for Head Start Program,” “Walk on Wednesday,” the “Wise Women Village Project,” and “Family Fun Day.”
IT&E Internet/DSL will upgrade new e-mail system
(IT&E) — Beginning Dec. 1 and throughout the month, IT&E will be upgrading all customer e-mail accounts to a new e-mail system.
During this transition time, customers may notice a lag time in accessing their Web-stored e-mails as the IT&E team works to copy all customers’ e-mail histories to the new system.
This lag time will only be temporary while the copying process is occurring. Full integrity of all e-mails is assured during the e-mail system upgrade process.
Customers may also access their historical e-mails on the old e-mail system through the following URL address: https://202.88.64.40/express, after Dec. 1.
Your regular IT&E e-mail account will continue to be available from any Internet connection worldwide from the Web site www.pticom.com or www.ite.net.
To ensure you have complete access to all your Web-stored e-mails you can download all your e-mails to you local computer or laptop at anytime. All that is required is to setup your e-mail account settings on an e-mail client software program such as Microsoft’s Outlook Express or Apple’s Mail program.
For customers who already download their e-mails to their local computer on a regular basis no further steps are required.
Helpful tips and instructions for the most popular e-mail client programs may be found on the IT&E Web site under the Customer Support section, http://www.pticom.com/support/.
If you require further assistance, call the helpdesk at 682-1060.
Customers’ address book or contact information will not be copied to the new e-mail system due to software incompatibility.
After Dec. 1, old contact listings can still be accessed at the above mentioned URL address: https://202.88.64.40/express.
The simplest way to copy address book listings is to copy the address informatio to clipboard and to paste the listing information into either your new IT&E Web address book or into your client e-mail’s address book.
Visit http://www.pticom.com/support/address_book_migration.htm on how to copy your address book listings to Outlook Express.
Assistance on all e-mail questions and issues is available at 682-1060.
IT&E’s upgraded e-mail system will require a complete login with your username and full domain name.
For example, if you type only the username before as “johnsmith,” now type [email protected] or [email protected].
