San Roque, Fuegu, Red Eye rule Chamolinian softball opening

San Roque’s Manny Tenorio knocked-in a three-run triple before Chad Atalig pushed him to the home plate on first baseman’s error leading to their 7-6 victory over Calikano Falcons in the first game at 6:30 p.m.

Tenorio also kept the mound in seven innings striking out four batsmen.

Shortstop, David Camacho Jr., and third baseman, Bob Lizama carried out a double play against Wayne Dawe and Keoni Pua in the third inning to help San Roque hold the Falcons scoreless in four straight innings.

The Falcons however stood their ground with right fielder Delwin Kadisang, third baseman Nobuyaki Ota, first baseman Mike Pangelinan and centerfielder, Glen Garde preventing the San Roque batters from reaching the first base in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Nunu Kapileo doubled before Boy Cabrera batted him home with a single in the fifth inning, then, Pua and BJ Phillip tied the game in the sixth.

But San Roque won’t give way as Camacho singled before Jeff Tenorio moved him to the second base on a fielder’s choice then EJ Tenorio loaded the base with a single. That was when Manny Tenorio fired the winning three RBI triple, and in the top of the seventh, the San Roque fielders protected their lead by holding Pua off in the first base.

Team Fuegu 16, 6-Pack 15

Joe Palacios led-off a single and Paul Lizama rocketed three-run home run during Team Fuegu’s outburst in the first inning.

Kuni Delos Santos went ahead for another fresh single before Tonchi Iguel moved him to the second base on an error at the center field.

Izaiah Falig had an RBI single and Marsen Siten doubled Iguel home before Ben Cepeda drove Falig in with a sacrifice fly.

With two outs, last batter Shane Iguel fired a run-scoring single to pound 6-Pack in an eight-run first inning.

Mike Pangelinan and Dan Repeki both hit an RBI double and helped 6-Pack cut Fuegu’s lead down to four runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Blas Magofna replaced Lucian George in the mound and struck out Joe Palacios to help 6-Pack keep Team Fuegu scoreless in the bottom of the fifth inning.

George fired a two-run double and Pangelinan rounded the base on solo home run to help 6-Pack tie the game in the sixth inning.

Tonchi Iguel drove-in the lone run on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead again.

6-Pack needed to score a run to force an extra inning but the Team Fuegu’s fielders gave them a hitless seventh inning.

Red Eye 25, Go For Broke 14

After enduring a scoreless first and one-run second inning, Red Eye base runners trotted the bases to home plate as they lambasted Go For Broke in an 14-run third inning leading to 25-14 rout.

Joe Reyes walked before Luis Arriola drove him home on an error by left fielder, Andrew Pangelinan.

Cedric Ramos drove Sablan in by putting left fielder, Andrew Pangelinan on catching error.

Noki Torres fired a two RBI double.

Both Josh Sablan and Bryce Sablan drove-in two runs on errors by center fielder and short stop respectively.

Arriola and Bryce Sablan both had two-run double all in the third inning and Red Eye never looked back.
