Companies, organizations visit manamko’ center

Tasi  Tours visited the on Dec. 9 while the PDM Promoters hosted a Christmas luncheon courtesy of Kinpachi Restaurant on Dec. 10.

The Taga Riders brought Christmas cheer on Dec. 11 sharing lunch with the senior citizens.

“The PDM Promoters with Misako Kamata, owner of Kinpachi, fed the manamko’ lunch, and they were very nice,” said Rose Mondala, acting director of the Office on Aging.

PDM provided the Christmas tree that was decorated by the senior citizens. 

The Taga Riders come every year to hand gifts for the manamko’.

“For the whole year they do fundraising and come here in December for the manamko’. They usually stay here to share lunch with the manamko’ and make them ride their motorcycles,” said Mondala

Teddy Guiao, a senior citizen, said that they always look forward to the Taga Riders’ visits.

“I heard the sound of their motorcycles and it was very exciting. I’m very happy. They give us gifts and they also gave a donation for the manamko’ worth $700. Every year they are here and they never forget us,” he said

Students are scheduled to visit the center this coming week to perform for the senior citizens.

The manamko’, for their part, will visit the Commonwealth Health Center to sing Christmas Carols on Dec. 16.
