Asahi clinches 8th slot; TKK2 hits 2nd spot in Belau softball

Perry Besong struck out two in the bottom of the seventh inning to finish with three strike outs and Asahi nailed the Red Men to eight runs.

Poland Yamada drove-in two runs with his double while Kuich Damian and Jordan Hayes had an RBI single apiece to complete Asahi’s six-run fifth inning which became enough to secure their 12-7 victory.

In the game against Wuzzup, Hector Efraim had a two RBI single to set a strong lead in the first inning, and Cliffton Siliil knocked-in a two-run triple in the sixth to secure their 9-5 win.

TKK2 17, Reap It 2

Marvin Palacios grand slammed Manny Sablan homered twice—a solo in the second and a three-run driver in the sixth and the TKK2 sluggers routed Reap It, 17-2.

Both teams fielded the park furiously ending both halves of the inning scoreless.

Sablan’s solo home run broke it in the bottom of the second.

Tyron Omar doubled for Reap It driving-in two runs with a double but Ray Cepeda and Marvin Palacios were quick to recover with run-scoring single apiece in the third.

Joey Dela Cruz led the rally in the sixth with an RBI single and Marvin Palacios rocketed a grandslam.

IT & E 8, PIC 7

Shane Yamada and Rino Celis had an RBI double apiece to help IT &E cut Pacific Island Club loose in an 8-7 win.

With Kevin Carney and Chuji Rios firing run-scoring singles in the second PIC was leading in the fourth inning.

But IT&E rallied in the sixth with Dennis Cruz hitting a double before Yamada drove him home.

Yamada stomped the home plate on Celis’ double and Vic Duko drove Celis in with a single.
