Acting Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council Chairman Ramon B. Camacho said the sticker urges the public to join or provide assistance to the task force.
The former police major lamented the seemingly rising incidents of burglary, bodily injury and robbery on island.
“This is not acceptable and the people should take positive action against any criminality,” he said.
The task force has 500 stickers ready for distribution.
Camacho said they are still soliciting the assistance of the business sector to fund the production of at least 30,000 stickers.
“When the people and the business community work closely, they can deter any act of criminality,” he added.
According to Camacho, some of the villages already have block captains: in Koblerville, Rose Ada and Anna Sakisat; in Chalan Kanoa/Susupe, Eric Atalig; in Tanapag, William Lieto; and in Dandan, Frank Camacho.
“We have lawyers, judges and teachers actively joining the program of the task force,” acting Council Chairman Camacho said.
