Associate Judge Perry B. Inos ordered George arraignment for Jan. 25, “when properly charged.”
George was represented by Chief Public Defender Adam Hardwicke.
Assistant Attorney General Kathleen Busenkell is prosecuting the case.
Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona signed George arrest order on Friday, and a $5,000 bail was set.
The Department of Public Safety arrested George for criminal mischief at 11:50 p.m., Friday, in Oleai.
In his affidavit, Detective Jonathan SN. Decena said tenants of the apartment complex behind Mobil gas station in San Jose called the police about a criminal mischief incident on Dec. 27, 2009, at about 12:50 a.m.
The tenants said they saw George stomping his feet on a car parked outside.
George damaged at least six vehicles.
The cost of the damage amounted to over $250 for each car, police said.
George was wearing a black shirt with a white logo, and barefooted.
Crime scene technicians lifted footprints from the hood and windshields of the damaged vehicles.
“This suggests that the individual who caused damage to the…vehicles was not wearing any footwear,” Decena said.
Some of the victims said George was arrested by the police immediately after the incident.
They said they were disgusted to learn that George was released more than 24 hours after his arrest.
In 2006, George, then 18, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.
The Superior Court imposed a six-day imprisonment, all suspended with credit for time served.
The court also ordered George to pay $720 as restitution for the damaged payphone and building that he and two minors broke into in 2006.
