In the change of plea hearing on Wednesday, Associate Judge Perry B. Inos also placed Joshua Santos on one-year probation.
The charges of burglary, theft, and accessory after the fact to burglary and theft filed against him were dismissed.
Santos will write an apology letter and must not have contact with his victim.
He will pay a $100 fine and a $25 court assessment fee.
His probation fee will be assessed by the Office of the Adult Probation.
Santos will perform 35 hours of community service and must also obey all laws.
Assistant Attorney General Kathleen Busenkell prosecuted the case while Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig represented Santos.
Santos’s co-accused have also signed plea agreements: Jocelyn Camacho, 34, and Carlene Muna, 26, for accessory after the fact of theft.
The fourth defendant Leuevalyne Mafnas, 23, is still under litigation.
Records showed that Santos and Mafnas entered the residence of Alina Concepcion Cabrera in Jan. 12, 2009 and took valuables.
Camacho and Muna “knowing that a burglary and theft had been committed, received, relieved, comforted and/or assisted [them] in order to hinder or prevent the offenders apprehension,” the prosecution stated.
