Rosario wins 1st crown in 2010 SGA monthly ace

Last Sunday, the 27-handicapper went consistent in both halves of the sprawling course of the Coral Ocean Point Resort early in the morning.

Rosario shot 48 in front and back nines to finish with the lowest net of 3-under par 69. He also shot closest to the pin in Hole No. 12.

Completing the tournament with the second lowest number of stroke was June 2009 monthly ace, Edward Sablan.

He went 11-over par 47 in the front nine, slowed down a bit in the back shooting 48 to earn a net of 73.

Placing third was July 2009 monthly ace, retired Judge Edward Manibusan who fired 2-over par 38 in the front and 3-over par 39 in the back nine to have 77 gross. His three handicaps trimmed it down to 74 net.

Also making it in the top five were Joe Demapan who shot 47 and 39 in the front and back nine respectively and finished with a net of 75, and Martin Sablan who shot 77.

Jess Castro, reaching par-4 Hole No. 6 and Bob Magofna who had gone for almost a couple of years returned and hit Hole No. 18 to launch the longest drive.

Magofna also shot closest to the pin in Hole Nos. 7 and 14, while Demapan had the same feat in Hole No. 3.
