Wallace saves the day

A tight scoring game between the clashing teams of PPR Shark Attack and ON Fire where neither both teams could not get away with an easy win, Team ON Fire headed by Wallace Rikrik, a former National Player, formulated a play in which he was fouled going strong to the hoop. Rikrik then drained two rewarded free throws with not much remaining on the game clock and their team down by a point to take that go ahead lead of 82 – 81. From there team PPR could not get a good shot to finally bow down to their opponent.

In other matches, Ranchers beat team Ngerchemai 76 – 69, Jaguars drubbed team Ngerbuns 90 – 75 at the night of 26th of January. Team Breakers crushed team High Tide with a score of 101 – 69, while Team Kabong won over team Ngiwal 79ers, 90 – 79, then Stingers went on to defeat team Meda Boys with a final tally of 90 – 77. Then on the 21st of January, team Peched edged off team Surangel, 85 – 84, with a winning three point shot made by Lendl Kloulubak while team Ididers thumped on team PCC, 69 – 61, then PPR Shark Attack overpowered team Jaguar on high scoring game of 113 – 104.

Franco Gibbons, Ngerbuns – Delegate Kalistus Ngirturong, Ranchers – Leg. Job Kikuo, MEDA – Surangel & Sons Co., South Coast – Senator Mlib Tmetuchl, PPR – Palau Pacific Resort, Ngiwal 79ers – Ngiwal State Government, Airwaves – Shimbros International Co., ON Fire – Koror State Government, Jaguars – Surangel & Sons / CTSI, Meda Boyz, Klebokl, Ididers, Meyuns Red Storm, and Peched.

ABL is operated under the supervision of Palau Basketball Federation where three games will be played every Mondays to Fridays and is sponsored by Shell Palau.
