Jojo Ong, Bryan Ajoste, Crezz Lansang and Lester Bautista also blasted from behind the arc helping the Sonics darken Moonlight early in the game.
But Bernardo Montano, Mike Umali and Moreno Martin retaliated with long-range shots to help Moonlight come back towards the end of the third quarter.
Galarse who had a brief appearance in the second and third periods returned to the court in the final quarter. He basketed his second three-pointer and after a turn-over by Moonlight, he braved the stiff defense and connected a three-point play opportunity.
When he was out of the court earlier in the second quarter, Stanley Towan, Ajoste, Ong and Mike Eclevia protected the lead.
Towan basketed two three throws and scored seven of his nine points. After his three-pointer, Ajoste picked up foul and made one of the penalty shots. Ong chipped in four of his seven points, Crezz Lansang fired a three-pointer and Mike Eclevia added two free throws to finish with nine points.
Going back to the front, the Sonics heated up in defense to nail Moonlight to 81, and Galarse sizzled with 16 more points to tally 24.
After Bautista’s two consecutive baskets, Galarse went perfect with two pairs of free throws, Leo Apelo chipped in two points and the Sonics secured their win.
Umali and Montano led Moonlight’s scoring hands tallying 21 and 17 points respectively, while Arjay Nonato added 14 points.
Managaha 60,MTV Contractors 43
The Managaha cagers shutdown the MTV Contractors in the third quarter allowing only a two-pointer and separate free throws to secure victory during the second game.
Ken Tanzawa had a pair of three-pointers and made two penalty shots, while Resty Vergara, and Carlo Samson sank five of their total points including their three-pointers to keep Managaha afloat in the first half.
Terry Sharry and Fasi Jesse carried the team together in the final quarter firing eight and seven of their total points respectively to secure the game.
While Sharry completed four straight two-pointers, Jesse hit a three-pointer.
Darwin Gonzales led MTV Contractors’ scoring hands as finished with 13 points.
