Japan embassy sends Brell to Reunion of Scholarship Alumni meet

Japanese Ambassador Yoshiyuki Sadaoka yesterday formallyhanded over to Brell her plane ticket.

Brell received Japanese Government Scholarship in 2004. She studied Japanese language at the Bunka Language Institution for one year and continued on to study Tourism and Hospitality at the Sundai Hotel and Management College in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Brell, the education and training she received under the Japanese Government Scholarship are very appropriate and more than sufficient to support her career choices

This reunion program focuses on the graduates of the Japanese Government Scholarship from the regions of Southwest Asia, Central Asia Middle East. Oceania and Mongolia. The program principally aims to enhance closer ties and to strengthen bilateral relationship between Japan and that of the participants’ home countries.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange opinions about activities of alumni associations in their respective countries. They will also have the opportunity to meet with officials of the Exchange Programs Divisions, Public Diplomacy Department of MOFA to share their views on international students in Japan. These discussions will provide an opportunity for each participant to form a network of information and assistance that can in turn foster closer ties amongst the recipient countries as well as to Japan.

Ambassador SAdaoka said the Japanese Government Scholarships are offered to over 180 countries around the world.
