Flores vows to support village sports events

Recently, the mayor’s office special adviser Kimo Rosario said Flores met with  some of the youths of Kagman and Tanapag.

In his meeting with the Kagman Manhoben Sports Association, the mayor was informed about the group’s plan.

The group, Rosario said, will begin coordinating sport activities for the youths residing in Kagman.

Glenn Dikito, block captain of the Neighborhood Watch Task Force, said there’s a need to have more youth sport events as these encourage them to be more productive members of the community.

“The mayor pledged his full support for the association and applauded the group for coming together and for its efforts in planning activities that benefit the Kagman youth and community,” Rosario said.

During the meeting, the mayor informed the association that their activities “tie in beautifully” with his platform.

“I will not attempt to reinvent the wheel. Instead, I will work with your association in every way possible to make certain that these youth activities get off the ground and most importantly, continue to thrive, grow, and receive the support of this office,” the mayor told the association.

Rosario said Flores also met with Tanapag residents and was pleased to learn that the village was also planning sport events.

“The mayor would like to see other villages follow suit and he hopes to see inter-village goodwill competitions ensue,” Rosario added.
