Police identified the suspect as Benedicto Kintaro, Palauan and 52 years old.
Based on the police investigation, Kintaro was driving his car, a 1996 Silver Toyota Scarlet 4dr Sedan with plate #2K4855 on the main highway at Medalaii and upon reaching the intersection located near Palau Visitors Authority office, he made a right turn colliding to an incoming vehicle heading to the south direction from Meyuns.
The car that was hit by Kintaro was a 1997 Silver Mitsubishi Galant 4dr Sedan with plate #10207 was driven by Kaupono Kahue.
According to police probe the car’s right front tire, fender and headlight driven by Kintaro were damaged, while the other car’s right rear and fender were damaged.
Police immediately responded and subjected Kintaro to sobriety test. However, Kintaro failed the test and further refused to take the breathalyzer test.
Police then conducted police search found a pipe containing marijuana.
The man was arrested and detained at the Division of Correction.
The case is still under police investigation.
