GEC were down by six points at the end of the second half when Aquino, Nate Mateo and Edmark Mendoza rallied in the third quarter.
Aquino sizzled with 11 points in this period, Mateo had seven and Mendoza scored nine points to help GEC come back.
QQ intensified its defense in the final half resulting to fouls that sent Aquino and Gino Libow to the free throw line many times.
This helped a lot in inching GEC’s way up and despite Chris Castro’s three-pointer, the QQ cagers continued to fall behind towards the end of the final quarter.
Aquino finished with 26 points, Mendoza, 23 points and Mateo tallied 22 points leading to GEC’s 101-90 victory.
Budz Camacho led QQ’s scoring hands scattering 37 points in the court.
