Century Insurance composed of Ross Zapanta, Raphael Zapanta, Simon Manacop, Raul Dumapit, Raymond Zapanta, Russelle Zapanta and Frank Sablan made it to the finals in the main event and posted a total of 54 wins to secure the first place and bagged $500. They added 3,251 more pin falls during the final round to finish the season with a total of 53,809 knock downs.
The Toshiba bowlers who extended their pin fall counts with 2,895 during the final week of the season, completed tournament with 51, 854 pin falls posting 46 victories to win the second place.
First laners, Company IV and the Marlins who were just one game behind Toshiba posted the same number of wins.
Company IV however, edged the Marlins as they knocked down a total of 51,559 pins and had 45 wins to settle for the third place.
The Marlins had a total of 51,466 pin falls to clinch the fourth place, with AON Insurance trailing behind tallying 41 wins from 51,002 pins they knocked down on Lane 8.
Century Insurance also dominated the games for specials awards.
In the High Game Scratch, Century Insurance beat the Company IV by 80 pin falls. Century Insurance knocked down 1,090 pins while Company IV had 1,010 pin falls.
Century Insurance also topped the High Game with handicap, striking a total of 1,176 pin falls while Company 14 tallied 1,152 pin falls.
In the High Series Scratch, Century Insurance knocked down a total of 3,062 pins to beat Team 8 that tallied 2,893 pin falls. And in the High Series Scratch with handicap the dominant team beat Team 8 again with 3,286 pin falls.
In the individual tournament, Raymond Angeles and Simon Manacop were tied in 266 pin falls in men’s division while Judy Ann Santos topped the ladies’ divisions in the High Game Scratch.
Angeles also topped the High Game with handicap with 287 pin falls while Efren Cacdac and Raphael Zapanta shared the second place knocking down 282 pins. Santos also topped in the ladies’ division with 270 pin falls.
In the High Series Scratch, Manacop had 743 pin falls to win the first place, Zapanta took the second place with 715 pin falls and Terrie Camacho topped the Ladies’ division with 533 pin falls.
The award for most improved bowler went to Allan Hernandez who had 12.3 pins to average and Elena Soll, 6.02 pins to average.
