“We are hopeful the mayor will provide us necessary assistance,” he added.
Mendiola served the commission before he was elected mayor in Nov. 2009.
Manglona said the “reliability of flights and the hiring of workers” are the major concerns of prospective casino investors.
He said the commission is hopeful that Mendiola will address these issues.
Of the three prospective investors, one has submitted an application to the commission, he added.
However, he said, the approval of the application will depend on Rota’s ability to address the prospective investor’s concerns.
Manglona considered all those who picked up applications as “serious” investors.
Since the establishment of the commission, they have already met nine prospective investors, he added.
