Six Seven Ohs beat Rollers, 91-85

The Becks’ lead started in the first two minutes of the first quarter when Anthony Diaz poured in four two-pointers for the 13-0 lead against the Rollers.

Diaz contributed four more points towards the end of the first period.

With time running out, Edward Diaz basketed two free throw shots after being fouled, following a two-pointer from Gil Gapor.

By the second quarter, both teams stole their way for more points. Beck’s Pedro Lizama intercepted an opponent’s pass then, saw Ed Diaz who rushed for a lay up.

Ice Rollers’ Eli Aughenbaugh had a steal and, getting a pick from Leo Galarse, connected a jumper.

Right before the end of the first half, the Rollers began picking up, garnering a total of 34 points the last one was from Manuel Matagolai.

Quickly changing their tactics, Galarse, Aughenbaugh, and Luizi Reyes backed out Beck’s power players to secure rebounds.

The Becks protected their lead all the way to the ball game with Zack Diaz shot blocks.

Gil Gapor capped Becks’ win with a free throw shot.

Nationals 80, Ol’ Aces 68

The Bud Light CNMI Nationals went onto their winning streak defeating the Bud Light Lime Ol’ Aces 80-68.

Marvin Rabauliman led Ol’ Aces in the first quarter with six points, while Trevor Ogumoro and Peter Camacho backed him up in the inside.

The Nationals launched a quick offensive, with Pete Iguel and Charles Johnson tying up the scores 14-14. Jose Tumaquip sneaked up behind two Ol’ Aces’ defenders and fires a three pointer, giving them a short lead for the first quarter.

Peter Camacho tries to pull the Ol’ Aces ahead but came short-handed. He was fouled, though and made two free throw shots in the second quarter.

The Nationals put clamps on the Limes’ offense having them scattered to deprive a shot.

After taking a short break, Rabauliman made a stunning come back in the third quarter. He slips through the National’s defense for eight points. Trailing the Nationals by three points, the Ol’ Aces tried to focus on their offensive.

By the fourth quarter, Lizama and Pete Iguel pulled the Nationals away with combined 18 points. Lizama led the Nationals with 24 points.
