Zoning Board Chairwoman Herminia Fusco said: “We are glad to finally fill this very critical and hard-to-fill position. Mr. Wyatt’s employment contract is being routed thru the system now and the Zoning Board is hoping that the employment contract will be completed soon since Mr. Wyatt hopes to arrive on Saipan on July 12 and start work on July 19.”
The Zoning Board earlier announced several important zoning issues that the Zoning Office was trying to address this year, including the updating and revision of the 2008 Saipan Zoning Law, the adult business park, the problem of dilapidated buildings, and the removal of junk cars.
“With the new zoning administrator in place, the Zoning Office will also try to do its’ best to provide more public awareness and public education about zoning in the media. Also more detailed information about rezones, conditional uses, and the activities of the Zoning Board Office will be publicized in the media on a regular basis,” Fusco said.
