D’ Pirates’ Tero and Ray Takai snatched two wins out of three against the Home Boys’ Juanche M. Franz De Luna in the 8-ball doubles event.
The 10/10 Home Boys fought back when Nolan Cultura and Mario Diola took D’ Pirates’ Ray Basa and Randy Sablan out with two wins in another 8-ball doubles round.
The D’ Pirates Huwa regained their lead when Tero Takai, Ray Takai, and Randy Sablan all won in the 8-ball singles matches.
Following the D’ Pirates Huwa’s victory, the Team Pirates will also move on in SEDA’s Budweiser Open 8-Ball League after defeating the VFW Sentinels at VFW Post 3457.
Team Pirates’ Pat Cepeda, Rodney Aldan, Juan Camacho, and Edward Suzuki all won two out of their three games in the 8-ball doubles match, followed by another two victories from Rodney Aldan and Dave Maratita in the 8-ball singles round.
Overall, the Team Pirates ruled the game with an overall score of 4-0 against the Sentinels.
